Upcoming information for Term 1, Week 4
We had a great day we've been having enjoying our Junior School Big Splash event; there's laughter, fun activities and lots of water! Thank you to all our parents who came along to help and support us during this event. It's been a busy week as we've also had our Twilight Swim Carnival and Year 6 Badge presentation ceremony. Next week we look forward to embarking on more learning adventures in our classrooms.

Please be reminded that if you need to collect your child early, if they arrive late, if you need to drop off medication, if they are unwell or you need to drop something in for your child during the school day, please:
- Park in our drive thru zone, not the administration car park
- Walk through Cafe Flourish entry point and turn left to enter our Student Hub rather than our Junior School reception
BEFORE SCHOOL ARRIVAL TIME IS FROM 8:00am
A reminder to families that students arriving at school prior to 8:00am need to attend our Before School care service. For the safety of students we do not want them to arrive earlier than 8:00am and be unsupervised in case an accident or incident occurs when staff are not on duty. Before School care is open from 6:30am each day and accepts both regular and casual bookings. Please ensure parents dropping at OSHC are only using the Drive Thru zone for parking and not our staff carpark in front of the administration building. As staff arrive at work for the day this carpark is a busy place and very unsafe for students to be walking through or between cars.

NORMAL DROP OFF & PICK UP ROUTINES ARE NOW IN ACTION!
Our regular drop off and pick up routines are now well and truly underway, however there are still a few parents walking around campus during the morning or afternoon. We are asking for your support in following these procedures so that we can continue to keep our community safe and ensure we always know who is on campus at all times. If you need to catch up with your child's teacher please book an appointment with them via the school diary or email so that communication can continue. If there is a reason that you are still supporting your child by walking beyond our 'see you later' entry points, please contact our Junior School office staff to discuss this so that we are aware and can support or assist as needed. There are some students who need this extra support and we will continue to work with families to ensure our decisions and school procedures continue to be in the best interests of our kids. If you are not adhering to the below procedures, our staff will politely ask you to head to the correct collection point or enquire how they may assist you. Please be kind to them as they do this job, they are upholding the safety of all our students and we thank you for your understanding and support.

DRIVE THRU PROCEDURES - SAFETY MATTERS
For the safety of all staff and students please ensure the following procedures are followed at all times. Staff will ask you to move on or cease any procedures that are unsafe for our students and families.
For the safety of all staff and students please ensure the following procedures are followed at all times. Staff will ask you to move on or cease any procedures that are unsafe for our students and families.
- Do not enter the drive thru lane until 2:55pm each afternoon. Cars that arrive earlier than this cause a traffic jam and make it difficult to move the collection of students through as quickly as possible.
- Between the hours of 6:30am – 7:50am and 3:30pm – 6:00pm Drive thru is a loading zone parking area for OSHC pick up and drop off. This is the designated OSHC parking, parents should not park in the administration and staff carpark, when dropping off or picking up their child from OSHC.
- School bags must only be placed inside the car. No bags are to be collected from the boot or put into the boot when departing. This is a safety issue to ensure students are not at risk of being hit by a car from behind. If you have a baby seat in the car preventing you from being able to use the back seat, please advise our reception staff and we will ensure staff members assist your child to keep them safe.
DO YOU HAVE FAMILY SHARING SET UP ON YOUR CHILD'S IPAD?
As part of our BYOD program across the Junior School, we want to take a moment to ensure you have set your child's iPad with Apple Family Sharing. This allows your child to not only self manage their device which is an important skill as part of the program but it also ensures that you are protected from your child spending money in the App Store without your approval. It is recommended that all devices have family sharing enabled and "Ask to Buy" switched on as this ensures any App Store purchases or in app purchases cannot occur without your approval. Do you need help setting up Family Sharing or switching on the "Ask to Buy" feature? Check out this support page from Apple to get you started: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201088
