JUNIOR SCHOOL NEWS - From the Head of Junior School
Communication Date : Friday 16 September, 2022
End of Term 3
Term 3 - Wow!
A fabulous Term that has showcased our community. Our students have flourished, grown, thrived and been challenged in our dynamic learning environments. We have experienced Funfest, celebrated Founder's Day, cheered for the WildCats during High School Musical and taken part in a record breaking Tennis Festival. As we enter a recharge period over the holiday break, I want to take a moment to thank our families for their support and partnership in their child's learning journey. I want to thank each and everyone of our staff members for their service to our school, it is rare to find a team of such committed, passionate and talented individuals that are able to come together to collectively make Faith Junior School what it is. Term 4 is already shaping up to be engaging and exciting and we look forward to many opportunities for our community to be part of what we do, not just during special events, but also during every day life around the Junior School.

PREP FAMILIES NOTIFICATION
On Tuesday, 11 October we will welcome next year’s Prep students and their families to our Junior School. You may remember bringing your child along for their first Prep experience and meeting the families you now call friends. We would love to have some of this year’s Prep families be part of welcoming next year’s families at our Orientation Morning. If you have completed the Volunteer Induction and would be available between 8:30 – 11:00am on October 11 to chat over a tea or coffee with 2023 Prep families, please contact Kathrynn Feeney at [email protected] to RSVP.
Looking forward to seeing some of our 2022 families there!

BYOD 2023
Just a reminder to families that as per previous communications, our BYOD iPad program has been enhanced for 2023. Our program remains optional in Prep - Year 1. In Year 2 - 3, bringing your own iPads to school each day is compulsory. Year 4 - 6 remains compulsory and we have a new addition of a stylus (Apple Pencil, Logitech crayon etc) which is required to come to school each day as a compulsory item. This is to enhance the use of iPads in the classroom for research, design and composition of multimodal documents. For more details pertaining to our exciting BYOD program please check out our handbook located on our school website: https://www.faithlutheran.qld.edu.au/assets/documents/2022/2022-23-BYOD-JS-Handbook.pdf |
