JUNIOR SCHOOL NEWS - From the Head of Junior School

Upcoming information for Term 4, Week 5
Our students are incredible! I always love getting out and about into the playgrounds and classrooms to chat with students and see what they love about school and what their learning adventures mean to them. This week, I was so proud of our students at Assembly as they supported our performing students who were using their courage and sharing their talents with the community on the stage. This is not an easy thing to do and our students always get behind their peers during these special times with encouragement and support. Whilst it may be the 'norm' at Faith, it is not the 'norm' in other schools - what we have is incredibly special it is a privilege to lead, guide and continue to foster this culture among our students, from our youngest to our oldest. I am so proud of our students!
YEAR 1
A reminder that the 'history interview' homework on the blue sheets in homework folders is next Friday (4 November). The students will be sharing this in class during Week 6.

EARLY DEPARTURES
A reminder to parents that if you phone the office after 2:30pm to collect your child early, you will be asked to wait until 3:00pm unless it is an emergency. This is to ensure that your child does not miss out on valuable learning time - departing 10 minutes early here and there quickly adds up to hours of missed learning across the course the term and disrupts not just your child but the rest of the class as they leave the room. If your appointment is prearranged, please place a note in your child's diary to help them remember to head down to the office when it is time for collection. We thank you for your understanding and support with this.

CANTEEN ORDERS CLOSE AT 8:00am
We know the mornings are a busy time but the number of families missing the canteen order cut off time of 8:00am is increasing. This is just a friendly reminder to please ensure all online orders are placed by 8:00am on canteen days. Only in an emergency, can the office take over the phone orders up until 8:30am, however this should be the exception to the rule not another way of ordering. Thank you for helping and supporting our canteen staff with this so that they can get orders out to students in time for their break, as we all know hungry kids can be grumpy kids!
